Internet and Cloud Services

What is Internet?
Internet it’s a globally connected network system that uses a protocol to transmit data via various types of media. Also, it refers to the global communication system, including hardware and infrastructure, while the web is one of the services communicated over the internet.

What is a Browser?
It’s a software program that allows a user to locate access and display websites, as well as other content created using languages such as HTML and XML.
Examples: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge.

What is a Search Engine?
 It is a program that searches for and identifies items in a database that correspond to keywords or characters specified by the user, used especially for finding particular sites on the World Wide Web.
Examples: Google, Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yandex.

What is a Cloud Service?
A cloud service is any service made available to users on demand via the Internet from a cloud computing provider's servers as opposed to being provided from a company's own on-premises servers. Cloud services are designed to provide easy, scalable access to applications, resources and services, and are fully managed by a cloud services provider.
Examples: ICloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, FilesAnywhere, Box.net.
